These are the various rates that will be charged under this freight code. A rate can be set for any department, department/category, department/category/group or department/category/group/subgroup. You can also specify that the rates apply to a specific classification.
The system will use the most specific rate it can find. It will look for rates in the following order:
Location + Department + Category + Group + Subgroup + Classification
Location + Department + Category + Group + Subgroup
Location + Department + Category + Group + Classification
Location + Department + Category + Group
Location + Department + Category + Classification
Location + Department + Category
Location + Department + Classification
Location + Department
Location + Classification
Location
Location |
The location to which these freight rates apply. This can be a location group. The system will try to find details for the most specific location, then its parent's and so until some details are found. This must be entered. |
Department |
The department that this rate applies to. If left empty, the rate applies to all departments. |
Category |
The category that this rate applies to. If left empty, the rate applies to all categories within the selected department. |
Group |
The group that this rate applies to. If left empty, the rate applies to all groups within the selected category. |
Subgroup |
The subgroup that this rate applies to. If left empty, the rate applies to all subgroups within the selected group. |
Classification |
Used to classify similar items, for example Normal, Generic, Black and Gold, and so on. |
Rate |
The dollar rate that will be used. This is used in conjunction with Rate Type. |
Rate Type |
The method by which the freight will be calculated. This can be '$/Carton', '$/KG' or '% of Cost'. |
Primary Currency |
Code of the currency that the freight will be charged in. |
