How Do I Import Members?

If you would like to import Loyalty members into your system then this is possible via the Import Members function. Below is the format of the comma delimited file which the member data needs to be formatted to.

If you wish to import members with predefined member numbers then populate this field. If you’d like to the system to automatically assign unique numbers to each member imported then leave this field blank.

 

Title

Title of the member for example, Mr, Mr, Drs and so on.

First name of the member.

Initials

Initial of the member’s middle name.

Last Name

The surname of the member.

Preferred Name

If the member has a preferred name as opposed to using their first name.

First address field of where the member lives.

Postcode of where the member lives.

Postal Address 1

In case the member’s postal address is different to where they live, this is the first address field.

The member’s date of birth. Must be the standard windows locale date format, for example, dd/mm/yyyy.

 

Phone

Member’s phone number.

Member’s mobile number.

Member’s email address.

Member’s tax file number.

Date Joined

The date the member was issued their membership. Must be the standard windows locale date format, for example, dd/mm/yyyy.

 

Location

Member’s location. This must be a valid store location code within POS BE. If this field is not populated then you can set the Location via the location field on the Import Members screen.

Gender

The Member’s gender. Must be in the format of ‘M’ or ‘F’.

Member category 1. Must be a valid POS BE member category.

Cross Ref

A cross reference field to be used to store data from the external system being imported from.

Points have been added for future development. Currently the system does not update the members points when importing.

Card Number

Member’s card number.

Card valid From date. Must be the standard windows locale date format, for example, dd/mm/yyyy.

 

Valid To

Card valid To date. Must be the standard windows locale date format, for example, dd/mm/yyyy.

 

POS Comment

Free text used to display to the operator on the point of sale when the member is looked up.

Drivers Licence Num

Member’s driver’s licence number.

Identification Num

Member’s id number if they have one.

Password

The customer's password.

To Date Value

The current value of points loaded since the To Date Value From below. So you can say the user has earned 1000 points since 10/4/2009. This can be used when determining upgrade/downgrade requirements. See Upgrading/Downgrading Members for details.

 

To Date Value From

The date from which the To Date Value was calculated.
