How Do I Set Up Wastage?

Wastage is a stock adjustment and requires you to configure the BE system in the following ways:

Changing Process Names

Create Stock Adjustment Reason

Create Sub Menu

Changing Process Names

Amend the name of the existing stock adjustment process to Wastage.

Select the Processes task from the Backoffice Menu. (DataEntryBasic.exe PROCESS)

Locate the Stock Adjustments task. (DataEntryInventory.exe STOCKADJ)

Change the Display Name to Wastage and Save the details. Next time the STOCKADJ process is linked to a menu it will default to Wastage.

In Menus (DataEntryBasic.exe Menu) search all menus that have the STOCKADJ process linked to them, edit those entries and change the display name to ‘Wastage’

Click the Save button to save the record.

Create Stock Adjustment Reason

Create a stock adjustment reason called Wastage.

 Select the Stock Adjustment Reasons task (DataEntryBasic.exe STOCKADJREASON). To add a new stock adjustment reason select the New button.

Enter the name of the stock adjustment reason as Wastage. Do not select the Increase Stock check box.

Click the Save button to save the record and close the stock adjustment reason process.

Create Sub Menu

On the user menu, a new sub menu should be created that contains all the stock adjustment processes in one place for the user. It is recommended that this sit with all the other inventory options on the store users menu.

Locate the menu (DataEntryBasic.exe MENU) and select the Menu tab.

Right-click to add new menu levels and drag processes from the grid.

Click the Save button to save the record.
