Locations - Shelf Layout

This tab will allow you to set up the shelf details for this location. These are the physical shelves that the items are placed on. Once we know what shelves are in the location, we can use this to plan the layout of the locations and assign items to those shelves using the Shelves function.

The grid contains a list of shelf rules. These rules tell the system what shelves are available, when they are available, the dimensions, and so on.

Shelf Code

A unique code, assigned by the user, for this shelf.

Comment

Description regarding shelf.

Sequence

A number used to control the display sequence of the shelves.

Effective

The date that this shelf will become effective. If left empty, the shelf is effective immediately.

Expiry

The date that this shelf will expire. If left empty, the shelf is effective forever.

Shelf Type

The type of shelf, for example FROZEN FOOD, HOT FOOD, FRUIT, STANDARD, and so on.

These codes can be set up using the Shelf Type function.

Shelf Model

The model of shelving unit being used.

These codes can be set up using the Shelf Model function.

Rows

The number of rows we consider to be on this shelf.

Columns

The number of columns we consider to be on this shelf.
