Messages

This window is the basic messaging window displayed at POS. At the top of the screen it shows a list of the user's messages. Unlike the similar screen on Main Menu, there is no friends list. The window is displayed when you select the USERMSG button at POS.

Exit

When you have finished viewing the messages, press the Exit button to return to normal POS work.

New Msg

Press this button to send a new message. This will display the New Messages window.

Delete Msg

This will delete the highlighted message from the list. Once deleted, the message will not be available again.

Date Range/Refresh

Only messages received or sent during this date range will be displayed in the Recent Messages list. You can change the date range and press the Refresh button to see older messages. Note, the system may have deleted older messages so they still may not be visible anyway. If you want to keep a message, you should use the Save Msg button to save the message to your Saved Messages list.

Received Messages

This is a list of messages received during the specified date range. By default this will be one day of messages. The messages may be deleted by the system after a certain about of time. You can not assume these messages will always be available for viewing.

Any new messages will be displayed in bold so they are easily distinguishable from older messages.

To view a message, simply click on it. The message details will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Sent Messages

This is a list of messages sent during the specified date range. By default this will be one day of messages. The messages may be deleted by the system after a certain about of time. You can not assume these messages will always be available for viewing.

To view a message, simply click on it. The message details will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Saved Messages

This is a list of all your Saved Messages. These messages will be kept indefinitely.

To view a message, simply click on it. The message details will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Message Details

This section will display the details of the message. You can see the Date/Time it was sent, who sent the message, who the message was sent to and the subject. Below is the full message content.

Reply

Press this button to reply to the sender of the message.

Reply All

Press this button to reply to the sender and all other recipients of the message. Sometimes this button may not be available. If the message was sent to a location/contact type, the Reply All button could generate a huge number of unnecessary messages.

Save Msg

Press this button to move the message from the Received/Sent Messages list to the Saved messages list.
