How do you tell the other location involved in the transfer that the transfer needs to be actioned? You can use the built-in messaging facilities. When you do a Transfer Request, you can send a message to the sending location to tell them they should pick the items for the transfer. When the sending location is ready to send the stock and they have updated the Transfer Send, a message can be sent to the original requesting location to tell them the items are on their way.

You can specify how messages are sent for Transfer Requests and Transfer Sends using the Send Message For Transfer Request and Send Message For Transfer Send options on the Inventory Options tab in Locations. There are three basic options - do not send a message at all, send a message via email or send a message via User Messaging.
