Order Categories

Order categories are simply another way of grouping items together. Items that have similar characteristics for ordering can use the same order category code. When you define an order category code, you assign them to a item, just like a department or a kitchen printer code. You can search for items using order categories. They are also used when setting up Order Frequencies in the Supplier function. When you are doing Suggested Orders, you can use an order category as part of the selection criteria for the items.
