Point Rules - Bonus Points - Items

This section allows you to define bonus points for the items within a purchase. The system will look for the most specific item rule it can find. If it can't find any it will then look for the most specific group, then category and finally department.

Location

The location this rule applies to. This can be a specific location or a group. The system will look for rules for the specific location first. If none are found, it will look for rules for that location's parent. It will continue this until it finds at least one applicable rule. Once it finds a rule for a location, it will not look for any further rules.

Category

The customer category to which these points can be given. If this is not entered, the bonus points can be given to any customer.

Dept

The department that this rule will apply to. If left empty, it will apply to all departments.

Cat

The category that this rule will apply to. If left empty, it will apply to all categories in the specified department.

Group

The group that this rule will apply to. If left empty, it will apply to all groups in the specified category.

Subgroup

The subgroup that this rule will apply to. If left empty, it will apply to all subgroups.

Classification

The classification that this rule will apply to. If left empty, it will apply to all classifications.

Order Category

Used to award bonus points based upon an item's Order Category criteria. If the order category is set then the item bonus points will only be awarded if the item's order category matches the bonus points order category.

Item Number

The number of a specific item that this rule applies to. If left empty it will apply to all items in the specified group.

Item Description

This is displayed automatically by the system.

From/To Date

The date range that this rule will apply to. If you leave these empty the rule will apply to any date.

From/To Time

The time that this rule will apply to. If you leave these empty the rule will be apply at any time. You can use this to give extra points at certain times of the day.

Days Of Week

The days of the week this rule will apply to. There is a check box for each day of the week. If the check box is checked on, the rule can be used on that day.

Manufacturer

The manufacturer that this rule will apply to. If left empty, it will apply to all manufacturers.

Multiply Basic Points By

The system will multiply the basic points by this number. If you want to give double points you would enter 2 here.

Note: Only applies to Basic Item points earnt.

Add Bonus Points

The number of bonus points to be given for each unit.

Award Points if No Basic Awarded

Allows the bonus points specified for an item to be awarded even if no basic Loyalty points were awarded for the transaction. By default the check box is not checked, and thus bonus points are not awarded unless basic points are also awarded.
