POS Device Codes

This task allows you to define POS devices such as printers and cash drawers. For each device, you can specify various escape sequences which control features such as big font, red ink, and so on. These escape sequences can be obtained from the manufacturer's manuals.

By their very nature, escape sequences are sequences of low level ASCII codes which include codes which you can't enter directly. To cater for this, the system allows you to enter a single ASCII character as a \ followed by the three digits which are the decimal representation of the character. For example, \027 is the Escape code itself, while \048 is the number '0'. You can mix and match these codes with normal characters. For example, the sequence ESC A 1 could be represented as \027A0 or \027A\048 or even \027\065\048.
