Promotions - Items

This tab shows you the items on a promotion. An item can appear multiple times on the promotion, for each promotion group. This allows you to set different deals and sells for different locations.

Catalogue Page

This is the page of the catalogue that the item should appear on. If you don't want to use catalogues, simply leave this as the default value of 1.

Page Seq

This is the sequence of this item within the catalogue page. If you don't want to use catalogues, simply leave this as the default value of 1.

Image

This is the type of image that should be displayed for the item in the catalogue. If you don't want to use catalogues, simply leave this as the default value of 'None'.

Order Code

The order code of the item on promotion.

IPN

The IPN of the item on promotion.

Description

A description of the item on promotion.

Ticket Info

Each item has a customer comments field that can be printed on a ticket. If this item has customer comments on it, this option will be checked on. If there are no customer comments, the option will be checked off. This is for information purposes.

Promo History

This option will be checked on if the item has been used on a promotion before. You can right mouse click on the item and select the Promotion History option to see the promotions for which this item was used.

Supplier

The supplier for this item.

Manufacturer

The manufacturer for this item. This is set by the system and cannot be changed.

D/C/G/SG

The department, category group and subgroup the item belongs to.

Item Status

The current status of the item from the supplier, for example Available, Deleted, and so on.

Promo Deal Starts

The date the deal will be available for this item.

Promo Deal Ends

The date the deal will be finished for this item.

Location

The promotion group for this item. The first location in this group will be used to determine current cost and sell information.

Normal Landed Cost

The normal landed cost for this item.

Normal Rebates

The normal rebates we expect to get for this item.

Normal Core Bonus

The normal core bonus rebates we expect to get for this item. (Core Bonus is just a special type of rebate used by some clients.)

Normal Final Cost

The normal final cost we expect for this item. (Normal Landed Cost - Normal Rebates - Normal Core Bonus Rebates)

Normal Sell

The normal sell price for this item.

Normal GM%

The normal gross margin% for this item.

Normal GM

The normal gross margin for this item.

Promo Deal

The value of the promotional off-invoice deal the supplier will give us for this promotion. This is used in conjunction with Deal Type to calculate the actual value of the deal.  

Deal Type

The type of deal. This is used in conjunction with Promo Deal  to calculate the actual value. A deal can be exclusive or inclusive of sales tax and it can be a dollar value or a percentage. For example, a 5% ex tax deal would be entered as Promo Deal of 5 and a Deal Type of '% Ex'.

Promo Landed Cost

The promotional landed cost (after the promotion deal is taken into account).

Promo Core Adj

Any extra promotional core bonus rebates we expect to get for this item. (Core Bonus is just a special type of rebate used by some clients.)

Promo Final Cost

The promotional final cost we expect for this item. (Promo Landed Cost - Normal Rebates - Normal Core Bonus Rebates - Promo Core Adj - Promo Rebate Rate)

Promo Unit Final Cost

The promotional unit final cost we expect for this item.

Promo Sell 1-5

The five promotional sell prices (equivalent to the five sell prices we would set up for a normal sell) for the item.

Promo GM% 1-5

The gross margin percentage on the five promotional sell prices.

Promo GP 1-5

The gross margin on the five promotional sell prices.

Save Label

A description we want to print on a ticket to indicate the user is making a saving on the normal price, for example 'Save!' or 'You save'.

Save Amt

The amount to be printed on a ticket as the amount being saved, for example $50.

Bonus Label

If you are giving a bonus item away with the promotion item, this would be the words you want to print on the ticket, for example 'Bonus!' or 'Free Prize'.

Bonus IPN

If you are giving a bonus item away with the promotion item, this would be the IPN of the bonus item.

Bonus Order Code

If you are giving a bonus item away with the promotion item, this is the order code of the bonus item.

Bonus Description

If you are giving a bonus item away with the promotion item, this would be the description of the item. It will default to the description of the bonus item.

Promotion Comment

A general comment about this item on the promotion.

Label (also known as Promo Label)

The code of the ticket you want to print for this item on the promotion.

Media

Free-format field to indicate the type of media advertising which will be used.

Ctn Size

The carton size for the item.

Min Order

The minimum order for this item.

Virtual Warehouse

This is checked on if the item comes from a virtual warehouse. This is a special client requirement and does not have general use.

Promo Rebate Code

The code indicating the type of promotional rebate the supplier will give us for this item.

Promo Rebate Rate

The value of the promotional rebate which is given to us by the supplier for this promotion. This is used in conjunction with Promo Rebate Type to calculate the actual value of the deal.  

Promo Rebate Type

The type of rebate. This is used in conjunction with Promo Rebate Rate to calculate the actual value. A deal can be exclusive or inclusive of sales tax and it can be a dollar value or a percentage. For example, a 5% ex tax deal would be entered as Promo Rebate Rate of 5 and a Deal Type of '% Ex'.

Rebate Paid By

Indicates who will pay the rebate - Supplier, Manufacturer or Head Office.

Promo Type

A code that indicates the type of promotion. See Promotion Types for details on how to set up these codes.

Feature

This flag is checked on if the item is a feature item in the promotion.

Expected Sale Qty

The number of expected units we expect to sell on the promotion.
