The number of times a login to Ocius will be attempted on POS Startup. Default setting is 3.

Wait between Login Attempts

The number of seconds between each attempted login to Ocius. Default setting is 15.

Connection Timeout

The number of seconds before a time-out is evoked on connection to Ocius. This occurs for each command passed to Ocius. Default setting is 30.

OLS Command Wait

Specifies the number of seconds to wait after sending an Offline Submission command to Ocius so it has time to do it's processing before POS sends any subsequent commands. Default setting is 1 second.

Device Check

The Device Check panel is associated with using the Zebra Printer.

Check Alive Interval

A background thread will check the Zebra printer every ‘n’ seconds. If the printer cannot be contacted, it will be marked as unavailable. The next time an operation is attempted (MSR/Print) a new connection to the printer is attempted. Setting this to zero disables the background checking thread.

Multi User Sale

Default Operator for Returns

The default operator is used for return transactions when one or more of the original operators assigned to the transaction are no longer employed or the details are invalid. Note: The Default Operator is a standard BE operator, but must be set up to work at all locations. If not, the POS will not be able to assign it to a return transaction if required. Multi User Sale must be checked on in Tills Profile - Settings 3 tab.

Scale Settings

Manual Weight

In accordance with US Weights & Measures compliance manual weighing of items on DynaPOSTouch can now be disabled. This is achieved via the global system scale setting entitled 'Manual Weight'. The available options are:

  • Do NOT Allow. Manual Weight is disabled.

  • Allow. Manual Weight is enabled.

  • Allow - Returns Only. Manual weight is enabled for returns only (transaction state in return, or part return).

When disallowed via this system setting, if an item is to be manually weighed - either via the Manual Weight fastkey or because the scale is offline then an error will be reported.

Customer Search Details

Restrict Details

When checked some of the details such as the address shown on the POS after a customer search are hidden from view.

Till Reads

Hide last value

When checked the last till read value will not be shown regardless of the blind till read settings on the Defaults 2 tab.

Default Operator

The POS User code to use for Till read when the system fails to recover original user code due to midnight cross over.

Backup POS Sales

Keep old sales

The number of days to keep old sales transactions.

OPOS Multiple Cash Drawers

Wait

The number of seconds to wait between opening cash drawers. This is required for dual cash drawers configured for multiple currencies.

Note: If one drawer is opened and left open for longer then the pause time, the system will open the next drawer immediately.

Zebra Printer/MSR

The Zebra Printer/MSR panel is associated with using the Zebra Printer.

Device Poll Interval

When checking for card data, POS needs to ask the Zebra device for swipe data. This option determines how often to ask for data in milliseconds. A number too low may cause POS to become less responsive.

MSR Acquire

If the Zebra device is printing, POS will not be able to put the printer into MSR mode. This option indicates the number of seconds to wait to put POS in MSR mode. If POS needs to wait, a message is displayed to the user. If the number of seconds is exceeded, POS continues but MSR will be unavailable.

EFTLink

Use Till and User Names

If checked, when commands are sent to EFTLink, the till and operator names are sent instead of the till and operator IDs. Required specifically for the EFTLink Ocius core, so the reference displayed to the EFT receipt is the User Code, Till Code, and Transaction.

Use Trade Date

Determines if Trade Date is passed to EFTLink instead of current system date separately to the current Use Till And User Names flag.

PCI Compliance Rules

When checked, POS will not process any Card Swipe requests from EFTLink, and respond with a Failure. Also the MSR Serial COM Port is released whilst performing EFTLink processing.

Masking Type

Specifies the method of masking used on credit card numbers for storing in the database. For PCI Compliance we recommend having a Masking Type of Last 4 Characters.
