POSDEVICETYPE

This table is used to record details about specific POS devices such as printers and cash drawers. The escape sequences are the sequences used to invoke certain commands. Each escape sequence is a \ followed by a three digit number being the decimal ASCII value of the character. For example ESC A would be represented as \027\065. It could also be set as \027A.

Column Type Description
STRCODE VARCHAR(20) A unique code assigned by the user.
STRINITIALISE VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to initialise the printer. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRSTARTRECEIPT VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence printed at the start of each receipt. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRFINISHRECEIPT VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence printed at the end of each receipt. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRBIGON VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to switch to large font. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRBIGOFF VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to switch back to normal font. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRBOLDON VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to switch to bold font. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRBOLDOFF VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to switch off bold font. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRBLACK VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to print in black. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRRED VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to print in red. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRPAPERCUT VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to cut the paper at the end of the receipt. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STROPENCD1 VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to open the first cash drawer. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STROPENCD2 VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to open the second cash drawer. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRSTARTSMALLFONT VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to set to a small font. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRFINISHSMALLFONT VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to set back to normal size font. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.
STRPAGEFEED VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to do a page feed.
STRBARCODEON VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to turn barcode printing on.
STRBARCODEOFF VARCHAR(50) The escape sequence used to turn barcode printing off.
STRNORMALFONTNAME VARCHAR(50) The font name used for printing normal text on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
INTNORMALFONTSIZE INT The size of the font used for printing normal text on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
STRBIGFONTNAME VARCHAR(50) The font name used for printing big text on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
INTBIGFONTSIZE INT The size of the font used for printing big text on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
STRCONTROLFONTNAME VARCHAR(50) The name of the control font used to print special control sequences to the printer. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
INTCONTROLFONTSIZE INT The size of the font used for printing control sequences on printers. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
STRREDFONTNAME VARCHAR(50) The font name used for printing big red text on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
INTREDFONTSIZE INT The size of the font used for printing red text on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).
STRLOGOFONTNAME VARCHAR(50) The font name used for printing logos on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers). This is only used when images have been embedded into fonts.
INTLOGOFONTSIZE INT The size of the font used for printing logos on receipts. This is only required for Windows based printers (rather than serial port printers).

VARCHAR(50)

The escape sequence used to print a specific image that has been pre-loaded to a printer. This is only required for serial printers not Windows printers.

STRCURRENCY

VARCHAR (50)

The escape sequence used to print the currency symbol. This is required for special symbols like the Euro.

STRBARCODEFONTNAME

VARCHAR(50)

The name of the font to use for barcodes.

INTBARCODEFONTSIZE

INTEGER

The size of the font to use for barcodes.
