SUGGESTSTOCKCOVER

This table is used as part of the suggested ordering. It records the required levels of stock cover for each item. The system can multiple this by the rate of sale to calculate an actual number of units.

CTRCODE

INT(4)

A unique code assigned by the system.

STRSTORECODE

VARCHAR(10)

The trading unit this stock cover is applicable to. If empty then stock cover to all trading units.

TRADUNIT.strTradeCode

STRDEPTCODE

VARCHAR(10)

The department this stock cover is applicable to. This is not required if the stock cover applies to all departments.

DEPT.strDeptCode

STRCATCODE

VARCHAR(10)

The category this stock cover is applicable to. This is not required if the stock cover applies to all categories within the department.

CATEGORY.strCatCode

STRGROUPCODE

VARCHAR(10)

The group this stock cover is applicable to. This is not required if the stock cover applies to all groups within the category.

GROUPS.strGroupCode

DBLMINSTOCKCOVER

DECIMAL(19,4)

Once the number of weeks stock drops under this amount, the item must be reordered.

DBLMAXSTOCKCOVER

DECIMAL(19,4)

The maximum number of weeks stock that is required. The system will not order more than this amount of stock.

DBLREORDERSTOCKCOVER

DECIMAL(19,4)

Once the number of weeks stock drops under this amount, the item may be reordered. This is used in conjunction with dblMinStockCover. At least one item must be below the minimum stock level. Once this occurs the system will then order any other items which are less than the reorder level. This is basically saying 'if I have to order some stock I may as well reorder other items which aren't urgent but require reordering'.
